Mark suffered a rare defeat today at the hands of former teammate Andre Griepel. Mark looked all set for his third stage win, however, the Omega Pharma-Lotto rider outsprinted Cav to the line. Mark was magnaminous in his interview on ITV4 after today's stage and his tweet regarding the defeat was tagged "#hats off" (to Gripel).However, Mark has closed the gap on the battle for the green jersey, he is in 3rd place with 197 points, 29 points behind current leader, Philippe Gilbert.
